New Fair Housing Protections in Virginia

The DBHDS Office of Community Housing has created a flyer that contains basic information about new protections under Virginia’s Fair Housing Law for people whose income includes federal, state, local or private rent assistance or resources such as SSI or SSDI.

Please share this information with the individuals and families whom you support, and with landlords. Feel free to contact your DBHDS Regional Housing Coordinator for technical assistance if you encounter situations in which individuals are being discriminated against due to their source of funds.
