The brain is the main organ of learning in our body, and it makes it possible for us to think, communicate, act, move and feel. It has the consistency of gelatin and changes in weight from birth (1 pound) to adulthood (3 pounds). The brain is protected by the skull, bathed in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), and anchored only at the bottom by the brain stem.
This very complex structure is made up of billions of neurons, pathways, and tissue matter that all work together to create the command center of the body.
