$223,000 in Virginia State Funding Awarded to BIAV

Thanks to the advocacy efforts of the Brain Injury Association (BIAV), local BI providers and our friends/supporters within the brain injury community, our collective voices were heard at the State Capitol. BIAV has been awarded an additional $223,000 in state funding to fulfil our commitment to serve all areas within the Commonwealth of Virginia with excellent, responsive services. This significant funding will allow us to enhance our services for people with brain injuries, their caregivers and families, and professionals within the brain injury community. We will use this funding to expand outreach in multiple communities including with providers and improve service coverage across underserved areas of Virginia. This will increase referral availability and create more educational opportunities for professionals in the brain injury field, enabling them to better serve those affected by brain injury. We extend our gratitude to Delegate Rodney Willett, Senator Ghazala Hashmi, and Governor Glenn Youngkin for their steadfast leadership and for recognizing the importance of this issue.
